Join a thriving private practice in Kissimmee that is focused on providing services to a diverse and multilingual population. Florida licensed mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers or psychologists only should apply. Early career licensed clinicians are welcome (details to be discussed at interview). Some consideration will be given to an advanced pre-licensed counselor, for example, if the candidate completed several internship hours already and/or already took and passed the licensure exam.
Being that our clientele is primarily of Latino/Hispanic descent, a Spanish-speaking clinician is necessary.
There are 2 positions:
- #1: Clinician specialized in treating children as young as 3 years old. Services must be in person at our location in Kissimmee. Training in play therapy preferred.
- #2: Clinician specialized in couple's therapy. Services must be in person at our location in Kissimmee. Training in the Gottman preferred.
As a licensed clinician, we can get you credentialed with various health insurance companies pretty quickly. Your caseload can be filled quickly if you meet the above criteria and complete the necessary preliminary onboarding and orientation. You can make your own schedule and work remotely for a small portion of cases.
Responsibilities:
-Perform mental health evaluations with a diverse population;
-Provide psychotherapy/counseling to a diverse population;
-Participate in activities related to the expansion of a private practice.
Employment Type:
-Independent contractor.
Compensation:
-If fully licensed: split with practice starting at 60/40 based on qualifications and experience
-If pre-licensed: split with practice is 50/50 which can include clinical supervision at no cost if needed
Qualifications:
-Master's degree (M.S. or M.A.) in mental health counseling, psychology or other mental health related field;
-Doctoral degree (Psy.D., Ph.D., Ed.D.) in clinical psychology or other mental health related field;
-Independent Florida licensure;
-Excellent writing skills;
-Proficiency in English;
-Good interviewing skills;
-Fluent in Spanish.
Must have:
-License in FLORIDA;
-Reliable laptop, desktop or tablet;
-Reliable cell phone.
