JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Marketing Area Director develops and maintains working relationships with referral sources and professional community contacts to increase access to hospice care for terminally ill patients. The Prime Care Hospice Representative is responsible for market share goals.
Responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identifies new referral sources utilizing available resources and his/her community contacts.
2. Works with VP of Sales and Marketing and facility Administrator to develop, implement and evaluate quarterly territory plans to achieve goals and to implement strategies and actions as defined by marketing strategic plans.
3. Develops appropriate call plan to achieve pre-established objectives. Conducts a minimum of forty (40) sales calls and presentations each week and generates referrals by building long-term business partnerships.
4. Uses appropriate established techniques for sales calls including opening, probing needs, presentation, handling objectives and closing. Meets admission targets consistently on a monthly and quarterly basis.
5. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
6. Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of Prime Care Hospice as a high-quality provider of services.
7. Works with referral sources to improve understanding of hospice services to grow census.
8. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of Prime Care Hospice markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
9. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
10. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Prime Care Hospice.
11. Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in health related/marketing field
preferred.
2. At least three (3) years’ experience in health care, marketing preferably in home health or
hospice care operations.
3. Ability to market proactively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
4. Must be skilled in development of referral sources for continued growth of the company.
5. Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
6. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in
performing job responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Hospice experience preferred.
2. High School graduate.
3. Must be computer literate and able to maintain simple records in English.
4. Must have a criminal background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
