About the Role:
As a Customer Service Representative at Ace Handyman Services and Bulldog Storage & U-Haul, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing friendly and professional assistance. You will handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that each customer receives outstanding service across our handyman, self-storage, and U-Haul rental services.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain the purpose of their visit.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about services, rates, and availability of self-storage units and U-Haul rentals.
- Schedule appointments for handyman services and maintain the calendar.
- Assist customers with rental reservations, pick-ups, and returns for U-Haul vehicles and equipment.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Address customer concerns and resolve complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and storage facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service delivery.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
- Work schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with reservation systems (e.g., U-Haul system) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic handyman services or similar home services such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
- Experience in self-storage management is a plus.
