Position Title: Concrete Lab Technician
Department: Production / Research & Development
Reports To: Concrete Lab Manager
Purpose of Position
Assist Concrete Lab Manager to coordinate activities associated with the concrete laboratory to include: research and development, quality control, production of concrete samples for marketing and front office laboratory use and other concrete related tasks.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete lab activities.
- Participate in concrete pours to test performance of various products as directed by upper management.
- Conduct concrete pour tests and ensure accurate results are obtained.
- Assist with documentation of results of test pours and maintenance records.
- Maintain concrete lab facilities.
- Ensure concrete lab facility and surrounding areas are maintained in a clean, neat condition.
- Coordinate with maintenance department to repair electrical, heating, compressed air equipment, etc.
- Coordinate with the purchasing manager to obtain equipment or supplies.
- Support of sales and marketing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of show pieces for trade show conventions.
- Assist in the preparation of concrete samples for sales and marketing use.
- Assist as needed with sales and marketing presentations.
- Support front office laboratory.
- Assist in the preparation of concrete pieces for quality control and research and development testing.
- Work closely with front office laboratory management in the testing of new products, both on site and in the field.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to test findings as well as procedures used.
Major Work Relationships
- Coordinate with Concrete Lab Manager to schedule and complete concrete lab tasks.
Education, Experience and Skills & Abilities
- A minimum of high school degree
- Must have concrete or construction experience.
- Detail oriented, mathematical and mechanical aptitude, well organized.
- Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
