We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Clerk that speaks English and Spanish to assist our firm with a translating documents in Spanish into English, commnicating regularly with clients by phone and in person, reading instructions for immigration forms, paying lots of attention to detail, learns quickly, knows how to organize documents and assist my legal clerk and myself in the office. I need a person with a good attitude who is highly motivated and has the abilty to think quickly and read and write well. This is a mid to fast-paced environment that requires professionalism, honesty, maturity, and reliability. I need someone who will work at least 1 year in my office or longer.
- Review legal documents.
- Answer the phone, greet customers, help with client appointments in person and by phone.
- Gather legal documents and information, assess files and advise clients on what documents may be missing from their application packets in immigration court, family, and criminal cases.
- Prepare legal documents.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Handle customer payments.
- Prepare routine legal papers.
- Have the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
