Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
JOB SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will establish and maintain positive customer relationships. In the customer service management system, the CSR will be responsible for entering customer sales orders and releases. In addition, this individual will plan and enter production work orders. The CSR will facilitate communications with outside sales, the customer and the division.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage customer purchase orders and releases accurately
- Verify with purchasing that raw requirements for customer schedules can be met
- Ensure the proper part number revision on the customer order matches the system
- Maintain completed and in-process purchase order files
- Coordinate shipping activities internally by providing correct location, method and date. This also includes expedited and special customer shipments
- Partner with accounting to ensure the processing of customer requests for credit to verify the merit and accuracy of the request, to provide parts pricing, and to obtain export information for customer shipments
- Responsible for handling and communicating with customers, including delivery updates caused by late or replacement product
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Able to type accurately and efficiently
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Must be an analytical thinker
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years' Customer Service experience or Inside Sales required
- Experience working with data and order entry
- Experience working in Manufacturing industry
