Overview:
Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for assigned patients on a variety of inpatient nursing units including the Intensive Care Nursery and Emergency Department. Assists with the shift supervision of nonprofessional personnel as necessary.

Responsibilities
- Night Shift 7 pm - 7 am (three 12 hr. shifts/week)
- Weekend Requirement - 4 weekend shifts in a 6 week period
- Critical Care Float Pool - PICU/NICU/ED - will cross train to Med/Surg
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent and
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Direct care nurses without a BSN hired on or after September 1, 2013 are required to enroll in an academic program promptly in order to complete their BSN degree requirements within 5 years of their hire date.
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
- Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
- Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred
