Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Summary:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The successful candidate will diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, perform routine maintenance tasks, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings according to industry standards and local codes
Perform routine maintenance tasks and warranty work to ensure the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, then perform the appropriate HVAC system repairs
Recharge refrigerant levels, check for leaks, and ensure the refrigerant cycle is functioning correctly in air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Perform energy-efficiency upgrades, such as installing smart thermostats or sealing ducts
Explain maintenance procedures to customers and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service calls
Mentor and train less-experienced team members
Required Qualifications:
GED or high school diploma
NATE certification in six specialties
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification
Knowledge of the fundamentals of how heaters, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment operate and function
Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and work plans
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree or vocational training in HVAC or a related field
2+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician
Proficiency in using HVAC-specific tools and equipment
Skills and Abilities:
Solid communication and excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and environments
Work Environment:
The HVAC Technician will work in various settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. The role requires working in extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and at heights. Occasional overtime and on-call work may be required to meet customer needs.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
