Our stunning revitalization of a historic building on the Taylorville square, includes a popular wine/bourbon/tasting room with a coffee & wine café. The renovated building features original wooden floors, exposed brick, and 14’ tin ceilings with capacity of 60 - 100 guests. The Tasting Room, Legendary Small Town Trading Co.
This establishment opened February 9th, 2024 and is now expanding hours and event schedules to include bourbon and wine tasting events, private parties, and community events. If you are a mature and experienced bartender with excellent craft cocktail and customer service skills, love historic renovated spaces and small towns, and want to be part of an exciting and growing hospitality team, then we should discuss this opportunity as soon as possible.
Current Food Handlers and BASSET liquor license (Illinois requirement)
Minimum of 2 years craft cocktail bartending experience required;
Knowledge of bar and lounge operations - Licensing or Certifications for Mixologist is a plus. Experienced knowledge of wine and spirits.
Excellent customer service & communication skills.
Ability to accurately handle cash, work with numbers and Square Point-of-Sale.
A flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
In general, bartenders will be asked to handle every task from opening to closing of the bar. Duties include but are not limited to: pouring and serving beer, wine and spirits, operating a POS system, waiting on and clearing tables, restocking supplies, general cleaning, and most importantly delivering excellent customer service.
Being a bartender can be hard physical work and requires mental agility with the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment. Our bartenders must also have the ability to work well independently, as well as a member of our team.
Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All Heartland Development Partners, Inc. employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned by the Manager or Senior Partners on duty. Dress code and personal hygiene standards apply. Employees are expected to come to work ready to have fun and be a positive force.
Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour plus tips; dependent upon experience
Part-time Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour plus; dependent upon experience
Employee discount, award pay opportunities, and growth with new locations in the 2024 plan. Restaurant type: Casual dining café, restaurant, bar 4 - 10 hour shifts (with breaks), Day shift 2 – 6pm, Evening shift 2 – 11pm. Weekly day range: Tuesday – Saturday (special events scheduled separately)
