Under the direction of the Assistant Principal/Teacher, responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of students, as well as the delivery of learning activities for students at various grade-levels. These activities will take place in classrooms, on playgrounds, during bus loading and unloading, and with other school related tasks, as assigned. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, receiving and signing in children, creating documents and reports, and performing simple clerical duties.

Selected candidates will be required to obtain valid First Aid and CPR certification after offer of employment.

Knowledge of Basic principles and practices of elementary school education.

Possession of good oral and written communication skills is essential.

Knowledge of basic subjects taught in school: including, but not limited to, arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language arts and reading is required.

High School diploma or GED required.

Two plus years experience in an educational setting (e.g., public school, alternative education program, or charter school)

Two or more years of college are preferred.
