KOST USA is looking for a Distribution Administrator to join our team!
A Distribution Administrator supports the Distribution Coordinator by scheduling inbound/outbound shipments and assists with cycle count duties. Additionally, the Distribution Administrator supports the inventory team with postings and administrative duties.

- Perform cycle counts on chemical raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily.
- Count high moving and high priority components multiple times a week to ensure all production lines have necessary material.
- Collaborates with warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control and production personnel to ensure inventory transactions are being processed correctly.
- Work with the inventory team to continuously improve the cycle count program for efficiency and accuracy of data integrity by creating and maintaining cycle count KPI’s.
- Assist in posting transfer orders and purchase orders. Act as the backup for Inventory Control and dock team members as needed.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive daily shipping schedule for all orders.
- Obtain freight rates, fuel and other surcharges from carriers and update freight database as required and advise all parties involved.
- Maintain carrier information by obtaining current carrier insurance and C-TPAT certification and updating carrier folders.
- Maintain file on carrier performance by documenting all carrier issues and preparing an annual report for Distribution Management.
- Receive and track all bulk orders by entering the order information in the bulk shipping schedule and arrange bulk shipments and or pickups.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Good attention to detail and persistence in resolving distribution related issues.
- Experience in shipping via carious modes of transport (truck, rail, and tanker).
- Good working knowledge of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, dangerous goods forms, commercial invoices, and pallet forms.
- Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
