Job Description:
Under the direction of the Club Director, the Club Volleyball Coach (“Coach”) is responsible for planning, managing and evaluating a team. The Coach is expected to teach, train, and coach all team members on their club team. The Coach is to abide by rules and regulations established by USAVolleyball USAV), Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), and the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA). It is preferred that this coach have club volleyball experience of their own. This is a part time, floating coach position with the potential for additional opportunities.
The Coach reports directly to the Club Director and administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Head Coach or Assistant coach to at least one Club Volleyball team.
- Develop training and practice plans in line with our club philosophy.
- Attend all practices and tournaments unless otherwise communicated with club administration.
- Conduct engaging practices multiple times a week that show player progress throughout the season.
- Focus athlete development on volleyball skills, game play, fundamental training, and conditioning.
- Prepare athletes for local and travel tournaments ranging from one day to four day events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive training environment for all players, staff, and coaches of the Club program.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, other coaches, and club administration.
- Represent the Club in a responsible and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Successfully pass background screening and registration according to but not limited to SCVA, USAVolleyball, and JVA.
- Club experience, high school experiences, or college experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the sport of volleyball, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to self manage a team - such as organizational skills to manage practice schedules, tournament participation, and team logistics.
- This position includes nights, weekends, and occasional travel. The ability to accommodate a flexible and changing club schedule for the duration of the season is required.

Compensation:
- The part time position offers a salary up to $1600 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
