Become part of the leadership team of a well-established childcare center. The Assistant Director works with the Director to manage the day-to-day operations. This position involves working in all aspects of the program to provide the best care and education possible for young children and their families.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Director to:
Implement high quality programs for young children and their families
Maintain program records
Hire, supervise and evaluate a staff
Ensure all classrooms meet state childcare licensing and NAEYC accreditation standards
Open the Infant room as the teacher in the classroom for two hours each day
Qualifications
Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Lead teacher certified and /or Director I (or working toward it)
Experience teaching young children
Supervisory experience a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must pass federal and state background checks
