Medical Assistant

We currently have a full time opening for an experienced medical assistant in our Waltham Facility. Currently, the schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with a weekend/holiday rotation depending on the needs of the department.

Summary
Provides clinical assistance to the nursing and physician teams to ensure an effective daily flow of the clinical practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Handles the intake of new patients
Coordinates clinics for physicians seeing patients in conjunction with the nursing staff
*Sees patients in clinic with the physician and performs basic functions such as vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, are taken and recorded
*Assists the providers with procedures (SHG, HSC, biopsies, etc.)
*Chart Prepping for Established Patients: Our medical assistants are responsible for preparing patient charts ahead of scheduled follow up appointments to ensure all necessary items ordered from
Initial/previous visits are available.
*Pre-ordering for patients: Medical Assistants enter pre-order labs for any required tests or procedures needed for treatment.
*Documentation and Requisitions: Our medical assistants are responsible for accurate documentation of patient information and handling lab requisitions as needed.
*Clinic Log Books: Maintenance and upkeep of clinic logbooks to track patient visits and procedures/results are part of their routine tasks.
*Orders supplies and stocks exam rooms: Regularly checking and restocking medical supplies, as well as placing orders when necessary to maintain adequate inventory.
*Autoclave Maintenance: Weekly and monthly maintenance of the autoclave to ensure sterilization equipment is functioning properly.
*Speculum Washing: Proper cleaning and sterilization of speculums after each use to maintain hygiene standards.

Excellent customer service skills
Excellent computer skills
Education and Experience
3-5 Years of medical assistant experience
Medical Assistant certification required
Women's health experience preferred
Infertility experience a definite plus!
