CURRENTLY STAFFING FOR WEEKEND DURING THE DAY OR NIGHTS.
We are seeking Child Care Workers that can work overnight shift during the weekends or during the day on the weekends.
Required Experience**
- Child Care Workers must be at least 21 years of age and possess at least a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience with children and families or an Associate’s degree or higher in a behavioral or social science field.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Must have no criminal history record convictions of misdemeanor or felony offenses from any state.
- Must pass a medical examination to include a level ten drug screen.
- Must be able to relate to and work well with children and adults.
- Must possess organizational and administrative skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and handle responsibilities independent of supervision.
- Must be able to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency and/or crisis situations.
- Must provide appropriate role model behavior for children
Responsibilities
- Monitors daily activities of children and ensures accurate and complete records.
- Supervises and assists children daily, ensuring safety and well being.
- Employs a nurturing attitude toward children, ensuring availability while on duty.
- Performs all duties in compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, and licensing requirements.
- Identifies individual behavior problems and needs of children and prepares daily report on each child to Director, Assistant Director or HSP.
- Dispenses prescription and non-prescription medication as outlined in medical care policy.
- Provides transportation to school, appointments and other locations as needed.
- Maintains the facility in a neat and orderly manner.
- Identifies and reports needed repairs for facility to Director of Assistant Director.
- Administers acceptable disciplinary procedure as outlined in policy and procedures.
- Maintains close contact with Director providing information on status of all areas of responsibility.
- Attends staff meetings and training as required.
- Assists with cooking and household duties as needed.
- Performs duties within licensing requirements and Open Arms of Blue Ridge policy and procedure.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director or HSP
