HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Health Center, Inc. is a healthcare organization and benefits services provider with health and dental centers in New York City. The Human Resources Department has a position available for a customer-oriented HR Generalist to join the HR/Payroll team located in Midtown Manhattan.
The HR Generalist will assist the Chief HR Officer on a wide range of activities and initiatives. It has HR responsibilities in areas such as employee/labor relations, leaves administration, and regulatory compliance. The HR Generalist will provide counsel to management and staff, administer policies, and work with department colleagues to provide quality HR services.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Handle complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment and other workplace issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee policies and procedures.
- Handle employee relations issues and work with management on performance and corrective action documentation.
- Manage the enrollment process for the benefits plans and annual open enrollment process.
- Conduct recruitment efforts for clinical, union, and non-union positions.
- Prepare HR related reports and metrics.
- Conduct investigations and develop solutions to employee related issues and concerns.
- Serve as a resource for employee inquiries and provide advice on policy and practice.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- Three to five years' experience as an HR Generalist.
- PHR certification a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, can work independently, and multi-task
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
Salary $85,000-$90,000 and competitive benefits package. Apply online:
