We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Services Director to join our team. The Social Services Director will be responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work within a healthcare setting and a passion for improving the lives of residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social services programs that meet the needs of residents and their families.
- Conduct assessments of residents' social and emotional needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide counseling and support to residents and their families, addressing any social, emotional, or financial concerns.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Coordinate and lead support groups, educational programs, and recreational activities for residents.
- Advocate for residents' rights and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of social services provided.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to social services in a healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to enhance services for residents.
- Train and supervise social services staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
- Strong understanding of social services practices and regulations in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
