ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to assist the Business Sales team in any pre-sales capacity to ensure Business customer needs are accomplished while maintaining NOC standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network upgrades and expansions based on business requirements.
- Must be able to utilize available platform tools to provide maintenance, monitoring, and provisioning services to the platforms and technologies deployed for Business customers (Netsapiens, Yealink, Polycom, Algo, MicroTik, Unifi, Ignite, Cambium, Etc.).
- Must be able to work with legacy hardware previously deployed for some Business customers (Juniper, Ciena, Etc.) to troubleshoot and ultimately replace with current technology.
- Being primarily responsible for back-end phone system platform (Netsapiens) design and support.
- Able to work closely on integration of the Business customers networks for PTP, PTMP, VoIP, and other networking services.
- Able to work with Cambium wireless hardware to design, configure, and deploy in Business customer wireless coverage solution situations.
- Must be familiar with hosted phone system platforms (Netsapiens, Etc.), working with upstream carriers/providers, and ensuring all E911 services are active and secure.
- Must work with Netsapiens support directly if/when back-end phone platform ever requires.
- Troubleshoot & coordinate faxes, modems, hubs, routers, switches, controllers & associated cabling for LANs/Wan and communication equipment in customers’ facilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot call quality issues that may arise within phone system platforms with provided tools (VoIP Monitor, Etc.).
- Must participate in phone system training and/or trade shows, user group meetings to continue to gain knowledge and understanding of the overall platform to help support the growing Amplex phone system customer base.
- Must be able to share an on-call rotation to ensure we are providing excellent Customer Service.
- Must utilize existing project management systems to meet timelines, ensure progression of proper next steps are being followed, maintain, and support advanced systems within NOC department.
- Assist with customer support tickets and projects that may require onsite customer support/installs.
- Support in optimizing network performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Assist ISP personnel with troubleshooting, support and maintenance of network elements and connections required to support Amplex's revenue generating networks.
- Monitor & troubleshoot voice & data telecommunications network.
- Plan & coordinate voice & data project requirements for telecommunications equipment installations/moves.
- Supervise and monitor hardware installation & repair in Client counties/outposts & right a ways.
- Inventory & salvage telecommunications & network equipment.
- Analyze data on ISP/circuit, usages & outages.
- Coordinate & track vendor response time & incident reports in order to facilitate more efficient resolution of ISP/circuit outages in telecommunications network system.
- Add, Modify, and set up IP Phones, Voice Gateways with 3rd party support.
- Evaluate project needs and procure resources to complete projects.
- Participate in development, implementation & administration of telecommunications systems.
- Act as the escalation point for high priority issues.
- Must be able to maintain and update documentation as needed utilizing existing tools.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
