POSITION SUMMARY:
The Receiving Clerk II is a key member of the procurement team who is responsible for electronic entry of received goods and services. The position works closely with the procurement team, assisting in receiving goods and handling all receiving documents, and works closely with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues and receipt discrepancies. The ideal candidate has the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal customers. This position works closely with the Receiving Clerk I to share information resulting in full accounting of deliveries, documents, and accurate processing of all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a key position within our company that:
- Builds strong working relationships with employees, departments and vendors through clear communications, collaborative efforts, and teamwork.
- Accurately enters information of goods received, services invoiced, and documents returns and shipping information.
- Coordinates with AP Specialist to resolve invoice and/or receipt discrepancies.
- Collaborates with bulk chemical providers to obtain invoices matching BOL’s allowing timely receipt for month end.
- Has knowledge of the duties of the Receiving Clerk I and is able and willing to cover as needed during breaks, lunches, and time away from the receiving area.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Follows plant GMP standards.
- Complies with all OSHA & plant safety rules.
- Effectively communicates both verbal and written.
- Works well with other team members.
- Safely operates forklift and scissor lift.
- Safely drives the company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver parts/supplies.
- Cross train in other department positions to cover when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Highly organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Experience:
- Computer experience.
- Knowledge of purchasing and receiving processes.
- Knowledge of parts, purchasing and receiving in a dairy facility is helpful.
- Forklift experience.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift as much as 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
