The Senior Account Specialist is responsible for overseeing monthly property management functions, including but not limited to tenant relations, contract and vendor management, accounts receivable, and payables. This position supports the Account Specialist Manager by providing strategic insights and leadership to the team.
Job Responsibilities:

Foster a strategic partnership with the Manager in achieving the Company's objectives for the assets.

Oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs in the PMS, ensuring the utilization of move-in/move-out checklists.

Ensure timely and accurate billing of rent and utilities.

Complete month-end tasks and responsibilities with precision.
-
Process deposit accountings promptly and ensure the accuracy of all charges.
-
Generate renewal offers through PMS and manage month-to-month residents.
-
Maintain and close the month with a delinquency rate under 1%.
-
Maintain and manage in-house collection accounts.
-
Book and collect all returned payments.
-
Manage write-off accounts and send them to collections.
-
Collaborate with the Collection Agency and post payments when received.
-
Update unit amenities for appliances as needed and record as an asset in PMS.

Perform AP and AR functions with accuracy and efficiency.

Schedule and organize resident-related correspondence, including monthly rent notifications and move-out statements.

Assist with gathering and providing data to external auditors as needed.

Mentor and support junior account specialists, fostering their professional growth.

Lead or participate in special projects as assigned.

Additional Senior Responsibilities

Review team members’ deposit accountings for accuracy of all charges

Oversee timeliness of tenant moveins and moveouts in the PMS

Assist with managing the complete moveout and collection procedures including but not limited to collections, evictions, court proceedings, and writeoffs

Review follow up activities and phone calls in the PMS to ensure the team is meeting department goals for communication

Assist with mentoring, training the account specialist and strengthening the overall skills of the team

Assist with interviewing and hiring
- Assist with team building planning, anniversaries, and birthdays, and overall morale of the team

Assist with Account Center budget
Job Qualifications:

High school diploma required, Some college or college degree highly preferred
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in multifamily property management; preferable 2 years as an Assistant Property Manager for 500+ units.

Strong and proficient in Microsoft Suite computer skills are required and includes: Outlook, Word and Excel (developing formulas, developing spreadsheets, linking spreadsheets, etc.)

Experience with Yardi Voyager is required
