GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide all necessary skills to support the Pastors, staff, officers and board
members. Act as the information conduit between the church and its
membership.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Provide services to meet the clerical needs of the pastors, staff, officers
and board members.
Serve as a receptionist and handle telephone calls, staff requests, sales
representatives, deliveries and communicate with congregation and other
duties.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Record attendance, track Pastoral visits, acknowledge first time visitors,
acknowledge membership transfers, and report to Elders and Pastor
member issues.
Prepare worship bulletins, monthly newsletters and e-blasts, assemble
week’s service participants, assist in designing flyers and printing same for
advertising events, prepare annual and synod conference reports, and
maintain and keep all bulletin boards updated.
Greet and welcome office visitors, answer telephone, maintain church
calendars, handle mail, maintain office equipment, maintain and order
worship, office, janitorial and kitchen supplies, and make appointments as
needed, maintain and file minutes and reports of official church meetings
and oversee distribution of church keys.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Working knowledge of Church Liturgy and Worship Services.
Proficiency in CDM (Church data management) or other like systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher.
Proficiency in hosted applications such as Sign-up Genius and Constant
Contact.
Proficiency in running and creating reports from the Membership database.
Proficiency in copier functionality to publish a 12–24-page weekly bulletin.

PARTICULARS
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, one-half hour for lunch
Pay: Commensurate with skill level, two weeks’ vacation, employee health
coverage and retirement plan.
