Under the direction of the Production Shift Supervisor is capable of operating a group of vial machines forming necks, bottoms and finishes. This is for a 2nd shift position that runs 3pm to 11pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs visual and dimensional checks to ensure quality ware is produced
- Cleans plugs, dies, tooling bars, machines and equipment per the standard operating procedures and as required by preventative maintenance tasks
- Monitors line performance by checking hot end losses on lehr belt, determine source of loss and notify appropriate personnel
- Able to make Lead Machine Operator adjustments as qualified
- Monitor process control using Infinity to produce acceptable Cp/Cpk values and cold end cosmetic vision reject percentage
- Ensure tube loader remains properly loaded
- Informs QC Inspector, Selector Packer and Production Shift Supervisor if out of specification vials are detected
- Maintains all required documentation as required
- Supports QMS and GMS initiatives
- Demonstrates behavior that meets Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety and Good Housekeeping requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply the Gerresheimer Management System (GMS)
- Must be able to understand, read, speak and write in English
- Basic computer skills
