At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a capital buyer to join our team. 
The primary responsibility of the capital buyer is:
- Quoting, scheduling demonstrations, data analytics, research and procurement of capital equipment and goods.
- Oversee and approves task planning to include resource and procurement requirements.
- Assists Director of Materials with Project Management Team financial, reports and meeting requirements.
- Project planning for capital purchases of current year and future FY’s.
- Vendor credentialing program lead.
- Collaborates with stakeholders on procurement activities.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint knowledge
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, develop alternative solutions, and collaborate effectively with leaders and representatives
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Including in audience settings.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Understanding data analytics to read and create reports as needed.
- The ability to work in cross-functional environments, with the ability to prioritize, balance and manage multiple efforts effectively.
- Expertise in supply sourcing and selection, early supplier engagement and price negotiations.
- Knowledge with contract management.
