Position Summary
Set up, program and operate CNC controlled machine shop equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Performs any necessary operations needed to produce tooling for production or repair parts needed to fix equipment.
· Must be responsible for cleaning and lubricating machines, along with, cleaning around their work area to promote a safe working environment.
· Responsible for maintaining any tools issued by the company.
· Ensuring compliance of all company policies and OSHA rules while conducting work functions.
· Must be able to perform all other job-related functions assigned by the company
Skills and Specifications
· Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, and materials such as schematics or drawings, written in English. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions and troubleshooting or repair ideas.
Education and Qualifications
· High school degree, diploma or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
· Seven years of experience or training.
· Ability and experience using computers.
· Ability to operate CNC controlled equipment needed to produce tooling for production and repair parts for equipment.
