Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at PawParazzi Pet Shop. This role wears two primary hats: Retail Sales Associate and Appointment Scheduler.
As the face of our business, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients and their beloved pets. With a bustling environment and a wide range of products and services, you'll thrive in this dynamic and rewarding position.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and provide information about our grooming services, products, and any current promotions. Handle inquiries and resolve customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage grooming appointments and schedules using our booking system. Coordinate with the grooming team to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
Pet Handling: Assist in handling pets as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain a calm and friendly demeanor to ease any pet anxiety and create a welcoming environment.
Product Knowledge: Learn about our products and services to effectively recommend solutions and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions. Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and pet care tips to provide valuable insights to customers.
Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately, handling cash and card payments. Maintain cash register integrity and adhere to cash handling procedures.
Store Maintenance: Keep the front desk and retail area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist in maintaining overall store cleanliness and presentation to enhance the customer experience.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to address customer needs, assist with tasks as needed, and contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment.
Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for pets and customers. Follow proper disinfection procedures for high-touch surfaces and pet-related equipment as needed.
Client Records: Record and update client information accurately in our database, including pet details, grooming preferences, and special requests.
Requirements:
Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment a plus, preferably in a pet-related industry.
Pet Handling Skills: Comfortable handling pets of various sizes and temperaments, with a gentle and compassionate approach.
Product Knowledge: Willingness to learn about our products and services, with the ability to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, supporting team goals and priorities.
Passion for Pets: Genuine love and empathy for animals, with a commitment to their well-being and happiness.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
