Westwind Construction, and its affiliated companies, are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support our needs. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the leadership team, have the ability to build lasting relationships and be comfortable supporting multiple locations.
As our Human Resources Manager your areas of focus will include, but not limited to:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate our human resource function to ensure the competitiveness of HR programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance
- Employee Relations/People Management - Establish credibility throughout the organization with the leadership team and employees by being an effective listener and problem solver
- Talent Acquisition/Management –Create strategic recruiting, development, engagement, and retention plans that position us to offer an attractive work environment
- Training & Development/Succession Planning – Develop onboarding, training and development, and succession programs that position employees for success in current and future roles
- Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation
- Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) - Manage the HRIS database and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation
We believe our Human Resources Manager will need the following to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business strongly preferred with a minimum 7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience with leadership, management, and employees in a company environment is strongly preferred
- Benefits administration experience strongly preferred
- PHR/SPHR Certified preferred but not required
- Outstanding communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Ability to develop, coach and mentor team members skills and abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills, attentive to details and accountable
- Ability to work under pressure, navigating competing priorities, changing situations, and multiple tasks
- Highest level of integrity, business ethics, and interpersonal leadership qualities
- A high-level commitment to stakeholder & employee engagement
- Solid understanding and knowledge of employment laws & regulations
- Strong technical aptitude (Microsoft Office, HRIS, Manufacturing software)
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
