JOB OVERVIEW
We're looking for a seasonal/temp. Brewer to join the Block 15 Brewing team for the summer to early fall!
This position will join a locally-owned company born out of a passion for thoughtfully and excellently produced food and beer, social and environmental sustainability, strong local partnerships, and generously giving back to our community. First established in 2008 as a community-oriented brewpub, Block 15 has grown to include three locations: a restaurant and pub brewery, a production brewery and tap room, a fine dining restaurant and a distribution team.
Be a part of one of Oregon’s most unique brewing operations that believes in producing world class offerings. Block 15 operates two breweries: a 7 bbl system at our downtown brewpub and a 20 bbl system at our South Corvallis Brewery & Taproom. This is a 25-30 hr/wk position and opportunities are available for the right individual to grow with our company. Training will occur under our Packaging Tech, Production Manager, and our brewers.
Block 15 is Brewer owned and operated with strict attention to quality beers and adventurous brewing.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Packaging line work and maintenance on our Wild Goose WGC-250 canning line
● Packaging line work and maintenance our Meheen Bottling System
● Keg washing/filling
● General cleaning and maintenance
● Grain, malt and inventory work
● General organization and brewery maintenance tasks
● Cellar work: yeast cell counts, gravity checks, CIP
● Hot side brewing
Qualifications
● Passion for the art and science of brewing
● Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
● Strong attention to detail
● The ability to follow and understand strict SOP’s
● Ability to take direction and work independently
● Positive & respectful attitude with a teamwork mentality
Requirements
● OLCC serving license
● Some holidays
● The ability to lift 150 lbs multiple times throughout the work shift
● 8 hour shift
