General Job Description:
IES Residential is looking for a full-time Entry-Level Legal Assistant to handle and maintain contracts, documents, and other matters as assigned to help mitigate loss and legal risk for the company.
Job Duties:
The Entry-Level Legal Assistant will:

Review, edit, and interpret documents, contracts, and correspondence, adding comments in legible handwriting

Create files, scan, mail, and ensure all documents and contracts are filed appropriately
-
Communicate with the contracting party/general contractor as needed
-
Identify any legal processing issues that should be escalated to internal and external parties
-
Update files with documents or message details per company work standards
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education: College Minimum Years of Experience: 2-4 Specific Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent oral, grammar, and written communication skills
-
Competent computer skills including MS Office (Experience with MS Excel required)

Ability to communicate at all organizational levels

Self-starter

Ability to review and edit a contract (the company is willing to train)

Ability to manage priorities and workflow in a high-volume company environment

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in English or Liberal Arts preferred

Must be able to read and write in English
