Role Description:
The Receiving/Inventory Clerk is responsible to help implement and maintain inventory systems, perform cycle counts, label all incoming material, properly store all incoming material, and work with plant personnel to ensure that the correct quantity of product is available to support M&W production goals.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain and control accurate inventory levels through daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and annual year-end physical inventories
- Receive, inspect, label, and store all incoming material deliveries for the plant
- Issue and stage material for daily production when requested
- Continually track where material is stored, including job specific material
- Read and interpret bills of lading and purchase orders and confirm matches actual deliveries, notify appropriate personnel if discrepancy is discovered
- Ensure daily receiving sheet is filled out correctly and completely and a copy turned into Plant Manager and Assistant GM
- Ensure all packages received are delivered to the individual that placed the order
- Keep plant KAN BAN bins stocked daily
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly organization of inventory storage area
- Understand, implement, and follow storage requirements for all materials
- Assist yard personnel when receiving is slow, as instructed by Plant Manager
- Notify Plant Manager immediately of any potential inventory shortages, damages, backorders, problems before it can disrupt daily operations
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, while observing all company policies and regulations
- To ensure efficient operations, complete and submit in a timely manner, all necessary department and personnel forms appropriate for given situations.
- Attend and participate in assigned company sponsored meetings and/or training sessions.
- Complete or assist with various other company duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Eligible to work in the U.S
- Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
- Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Forklift certified or willingness to be certified
- Mature, dependable, and self-motivated
- Able to handle a variety of tasks with little supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Blueprint reading or ability to learn
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat
- Ability to bend or stoop
- Must be in good physical health; able to comfortably lift at least 50 pounds and frequently 75 pounds or more
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- On the job training will be provided

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, minimum 40 hrs. Overtime may be required to meet project schedules.
