Front Desk Coordinator
Our client is a leading dermatology practice dedicated to providing exceptional skincare services to our valued patients and is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator. With a team of experienced dermatologists and cutting-edge treatments, we strive to enhance the health and confidence of our community. We are currently seeking a dynamic Front Desk Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Relations:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive first impression of the practice.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with general information about services.
2. Appointment Management:
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic scheduling software.
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments to ensure efficient use of time for both patients and staff.
3. Check-In and Check-Out Procedures:
- Verify patient information and insurance details upon arrival.
- Collect and process patient payments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
4. Insurance Verification:
- Verify insurance coverage and communicate benefits to patients.
- Facilitate pre-authorization and pre-certification processes as required.
5. Medical Records Management:
- Organize and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in preparing and filing necessary paperwork for patient visits.
6. Administrative Support:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
7. Communication Liaison:
- Act as a point of contact between patients, medical staff, and other departments within the practice.
- Relay important messages and information to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
8. Maintaining Clean and Organized Front Desk Area:
- Ensure the front desk area is tidy, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Monitor and restock informational brochures and forms.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dermatology experience a plus
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or customer service role is a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
