Banquet Servers are responsible for incredible guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner to the Forbes service standards. At all times, our servers are expected to be attentive to our guests’ needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. A Banquet Server interacts with our guests and ensures they have a great experience when attending events and meeting at the Resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Exhibit knowledge of the appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items.
- Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Serve beverage and food in the appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
- Abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Read, write and communicate information on a Banquet Event Order.
- Transport large trays weighing up to 40 pounds through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
- Communicate knowledge of all hotel and resort operations and services, so guest questions can be accurately answered.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of T.I.P.S. Alcohol Awareness Training (provided upon hire as needed).
