Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors and provide excellent customer service at the front desk
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents, data entry
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working in a behavioral health office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as On-target Clinical
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
-Understanding of Medicaid and NC Tracks a plus.
