As Soligent, the leading pure-play solar distributor in the US, continues to grow rapidly, we're seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to look after the day-to-day legal matters that arise in the business. As the first legal hire in the US, you will support all areas of the business with their legal needs as well as undertaking larger legal projects with the global legal team.
You'll be at the forefront of growing the legal resource for a fast-moving, innovative company and will play an integral part in protecting the business as we grow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts (MSAs, supplier frameworks,
NDAs etc)
- Support corporate development transactions including due diligence and document
preparation.
- Assist in the development of a corporate governance plan and implementation of that plan.
- Conduct legal research and provide accurate and timely counsel to business units.
- Manage engagement with external counsel and update the business on projects being handled
by others.
- Travel required: 10-20% (estimated)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 years commercial transaction experience
- In-house experience (prior employment or secondment)
- Experience in distribution and/or manufacturing (bonus)
- Experience in renewable energy sector (bonus)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $125-140k but may be higher or lower due to differentials in the labor market.
