We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of students with special education requirements, ensuring they receive a comprehensive and engaging education.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to support students with behavioral challenges, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational plan for each student.
- Provide individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications to meet the diverse needs of students with special education requirements.
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement, responsibility, and self-regulation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and caregivers to promote trust, understanding, and communication.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet the evolving needs of students with special education requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues, contributing to a positive and collaborative educational environment.
Experience
- A degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience in teaching students with special education requirements, with a focus on early intervention and inclusive education practices.
- Strong knowledge of special education curricula, including lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with library services and the integration of technology into educational settings.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting colleagues to promote a collaborative and positive educational environment.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing curricula and assessments that meet the diverse needs of students with special education requirements.
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education, with an understanding of the importance of social-emotional learning and play-based instruction.

Pay: $52,158.00 - $77,721.00 per year
