Success Together, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that partners with local school districts to provide classes for parents on a variety of topics from helping children with academics, to social and emotional skills, building life skills, ways to use positive discipline techniques, and more.

What We Need Help With
We are currently seeking individuals to provide assistance to our Facilitators to ensure our classes run smoothly, as well as provide interpreting for parents attending our classes who need language support.
At this time, we are in need of bilingual staff who can speak English and Spanish fluently.

Work Location
Our work is done in-person, on school campuses, with assignments being centered in Fresno but also spanning to nearby communities generally within 45 minutes of Fresno. Our classes are taught at the start of the school day after parents drop their children off (generally 8:30am) or after the workday ends, starting at 6pm. We provide breakfast or dinner and childcare for the families participating in our classes.
Key job functions:
- Provides live, accurate verbal interpreting from English to Spanish or Spanish to English for parents attending our classes
- Be knowledgeable of our class curriculum in order to be prepared to translate terms that may be less commonly used in other settings
- Assists the Facilitator with workshop setup, welcoming parents/families, clean-up, distribution of materials to parents, attendance records and other program documents
- Communicates with coworkers to ensure team success
- Picks-up food for evening workshops before the start of class (pick-up location and time is coordinated with Success Together Admin in advance)

- Previous interpreting experience (educational settings a plus)
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong and clear communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Dependable access to email, high-speed internet, and reliable transportation
- Must have morning and/or evening availability at least 3 times per week, Monday through Friday. Morning hours are typically 8am - 10:30am and evening hours are typically 5:30-8:00pm.
- Required Clearances Upon Hire: Livescan Fingerprint/Background and DMV Check, Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray.

- We are looking for people who love serving the community, genuinely care about others, and can make people feel welcome and included
- This position is part-time, on-call. You will be able to accept class series assignments that are set at a specific and consistent time, so you'll be able to plan your life - but, the number of hours you work throughout the year will vary based on your availability, the time of year, and the number of classes we have scheduled.
Pay Transparency
- We pay $100 per class for this position
- In general, classes take up to 1.5 hours of preparation (done at home) and 2.5 hours of on-campus work time
- Mileage reimbursement is provided when traveling more than 15 miles from the Fresno office

Hiring Timeline

- In person interviews will take place between July 29 and August 2.
- Those selected to attend training must be available to attend training in person on Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August 17th. (No exceptions)
