Maintenance Technician - Day Shift 7am-7pm(1 opening) /Night Shift 7pm-7am (1 opening)
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Tech has the responsibility of maintaining and the repair of equipment in all areas of the plant.
Maintenance techs must work efficiently in order to reduce downtime and maintain the equipment. The maintenance tech must work safely and ensure all procedures are followed. This position takes direction from and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Basic Duties and Task Statements:
Expectations:
* Work safely and ensure others in department are working safely. Must be aware of and follow all safety policies and JSA’s, including personal protection equipment, lock-out/tag-out, housekeeping, MSDS, etc.
* Responsible to identify, report any work hazards, must eliminate hazards within ability.
* Perform basic equipment diagnosis for both electrical & mechanical issues. Responsible to maintain all equipment by performing all required PM functions and reporting any equipment problems for repair.
-Troubleshoot and repair all standard electrical components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues.
-Disassemble/reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair/replace worn or defective parts.
* Troubleshoot maintenance issues, processing problems and make corrections accordingly
* Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics
* Must be able to accurately measure machine performance after repairs are completed.
* Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control.
* Troubleshoot, install and repair ac/dc motors, starters, relays and drives.
* Welding and machining experience.
-Install new equipment and understand technical manuals, read blueprints and how to purchase replacement parts necessary to make equipment repairs.
-Perform preventive maintenance per planned schedules. Clean and lubricate machinery. Inspect equipment operatingconditions.
-Identify root causes of equipment problems.
* Ensure work area stays clean, neat, and orderly
* Good attendance and punctuality required
Educational/Experience Requirements
The Ideal candidate will be either a graduate of an industrial apprenticeship program or 2-year technical school with at least 3 years industrial experience or have a minimum of 5 yrs. experience as a maintenance electrician/mechanic in an industrial manufacturing facility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Conditions in summer can be extremely hot and uncomfortable. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
