The Laundry Worker is responsible for both the collection of soiled linen and the delivery of clean linen based on individual par levels of each department. You will also be responsible for restocking hospital departments with clean linen as required and placing excess linen on the shelves in laundry.

Responsibilities:
- Collects soiled linen from all chutes and floors when necessary.

Loads soiled linen into designated carts and covers per Infection Control guidelines.

Deliver soiled linens to the dock for pick up by appropriate party.

Moves clean linen from dock to the Linen area utilizing freight elevator.

Unloads clean linen into appropriate carts or shelves.
-
Loads floor delivery carts and delivers to end using departments.

Returns linen carts to storage area.
-
Refills linen storage areas on floors in the afternoon.

Receives and records messages and requests for linen delivery, then makes the necessary deliveries.

Receives soiled uniforms and scrubs and delivers scrubs when necessary.

Places orders for linen on an as needed basis.

Fills out laundry report daily.

Will perform other duties within the Environmental Services department as assigned.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read and write.
