The firm is seeking a full-time Sr. Audio Visual Technician to join our Hospitality & Conference Services Department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet staff, lawyers, vendors and clients on a daily basis to ensure that their needs are exceeded in the Conference Center.
- Coordinate, test and set-up daily audio/visual equipment based on meetings scheduled.
- Provide hybrid and fully virtual audiovisual support for online meetings/events utilizing various online platforms as required by clients.
- Coordinate rehearsals and meeting presentations, manage presenters, and create meeting links with appropriate virtual meeting needs.
- Meet with clients to discuss their meeting goals and articulate specific objectives to the conference center team.
- Maintain audio and video equipment.
- Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize their meeting equipment appropriately.
- Troubleshoot device connectivity issues before meetings.
- Ensure systems remain updated.
- Follow up on all meetings requiring AV assistance, inform proper departments and add information into the Conference Booking system ticketing system.
- Ensure all equipment inside conference rooms is organized, labeled, and clean on a daily basis before and after meetings,
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships in the performance of required duties.
Requirements:
- Work is required to be on-site.
- Experience with different types of device connectivity, video processing/switching equipment, and virtual conferencing hardware and software including remote camera operation.
- Strong sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Experience in setting up and operating virtual and hybrid meetings on various platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx.
- Experience setting up and mixing live audio, to include the use of multi-channel consoles with gating, compression and equalization, digital wireless microphones.
- Experience in Windows/Mac environments for MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Experience in Conference Center and or Law Firms.
- Working with Accruent EMS or other Conference Booking Software.
- Experience with PTZ remote camera operations, Crestron, BlackMagic video appliances, Biamp Canvas Audio.
- Familiarity with computer networks and IP connectivity.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, to ensure the successful execution of events.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact confidently with clients, senior-level leadership, and firm personnel.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A desire for providing exceptional hospitality service and creating memorable experiences for attendees.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred but not required in lieu of work experience
- Experience with computer video editing a plus
