Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Valet and Bellman Attendant to join our team. As a Valet and Bellman Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our parking facility and providing excellent customer service to all guests arriving and departing the property. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a hospitality background who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to guests and the hotel including but not limited to, parking vehicles, retrieving and storing luggage and other guest items.
- Direct and guide deliveries to appropriate location.
- Work closely with Guest Attaché regarding luggage placement, delivery times and other tasks as assigned.
- Assisting with guest arrivals and departures as may be requested.
- Protects guest and hotel assets, including but not limited to, proper use of Flash Parking, damage assessment, tagging and ticketing luggage, payments and cash handling.
- Maintain a safe workplace by conducting property walks and surveillance. Monitor traffic and crowd flow at driveway.
- Promptly follow through on any guest request, or opportunities and involve your supervisor as necessary.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by department supervisors, including various work locations to include off-property parking as determined by the demands of the property.
- Adhere to the Hotel Standard Operating Procedures (as updated).
- Other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of similar work experience at a luxury hospitality location.
- Valid and Active Los Angeles Valet Parking Attendant permit.
- Valid and Active Driver’s License which will be periodically verified.
- Ability to operate an automatic or manual vehicle.
- Must have full availability and the ability to work a flexible schedule to include extended hours, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess and be able to communicate general knowledge of the area, and hotel property.
- Oral proficiency in English.
- Adhere to the luxury service standards with specific emphasis on but not limited to: Arrival/Departure Service, Guest Service Request, Guest Room, Public Areas (as updated).
- Adhere to the Employee Handbook (as updated).
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct (as updated) and Confidentiality, Non-Solicitation & Intellectual Property Agreement (as updated)
- Able to work unsupervised with focus and attention to detail. Assist colleagues as needed.
- Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the facility to others.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 40-50 pounds. Ability to kneel, reach overhead, climb, crouch, bend downwards and enter/exit vehicles. Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time, walk significant distances, and move in a prompt manner between various locations.

*Please note that a sign-on bonus of $500 is offered for this position after the completion of the first 90 days with good behavior and no documentation.
