Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, acute care facilities, and occupational health centers.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their daily functioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously
