We are currently seeking to fill the role of PROJECT ENGINEER at our Hildebran, NC locale. The PROJECT ENGINEER will be a highly motivated, driven, results-oriented project leader responsible for developing and supporting technical solutions for new/existing production equipment, manufacturing processes, and facility infrastructure.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously associated with the implementation of new equipment, modification of existing equipment, or improvement of facilities from inception through completion in support of increased capacity, improved efficiency, cost reduction, and/or quality improvements.
- Develop equipment purchase, acceptance, and installation specifications, as needed.
- Verify requirements, designs, and schedules with internal stakeholders to assure final projects meet stakeholder specifications and business objectives.
- Document master project schedule.
- Complete full project documentation, transfer of project records and ensure team-member training at end of projects.
- Develop reliability strategies for new equipment installations.
- Provide troubleshooting support to production and maintenance teams.
- Support environmental, health, safety, and quality objectives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through involvement on various teams. Provide assistance with investigating root cause of failures/defects and implementing corrective actions. Conduct FMEA on new and existing equipment and processes.
- Nurture and grow relationships with OEM equipment suppliers and outside vendor resources.
- Remain current on new technology and industry trends to suggest implementations where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience as a Project or Manufacturing Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing facility (Food, Beverage, Pharma, or Cosmetics industries are preferred)
- Demonstrated prior accomplishment of machinery, systems, and/or facility projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electro-mechanical production equipment and their integration into larger cells, production lines, or systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of facility systems (Electrical Power, HVAC, Domestic/Process Water and Associated Plumbing, Compressed Air, General Construction)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD programs.
