Serves as a receptionist and administrative assistant for the Yosemite Medical Clinic and provides assistance to patients who seek services at the Yosemite Medical Clinic.
Performs front office duties such as: opening and closing functions of the clinic, scheduling and checking in new and returning patients, collecting insurance, demographic and payment information.
Maintains patient records and inputs data relevant to patient treatment and medical billing.
Performs routine clerical tasks such as typing documents, answering calls, distributing mail, and ordering of office supplies
In addition, incumbent may provide services as part of the Emergency Medical Services program such as being a member of the ambulance crew and search and rescue team; performing front-line triage when acute patients seek treatment; and/or being a radio dispatcher during emergency incidents.
COMPENENCIES
Knowledge of medical practices and procedures.
Knowledge of administrative procedures in a medical environment.
Ability to provide administrative support.
Skill using desktop computer systems and associated office automation software programs.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
