Italian Village Restaurants is hiring a Social Media Coordinator to design and execute social media strategies for their brands and individual restaurant (including Italian Village, The Village, Sotto / Bar Sotto, & Vivere). The Social Media Coordinator will create content, schedule posts, engage and respond to guests, and otherwise digitally represent our brands. Their primary goals and accountabilities will be (1) timely & accurate posting of content across all brands and platforms, (2) follower growth and follower engagement, and (3) impactful partnership with influencers and brands. They will report to and have help from the Marketing Manager.
Ideal Candidate will be:
· Experienced in managing daily hospitality-industry social media postings across multiple accounts and platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
· Experienced with social media management software (Hootsuite, preferred).
· Adept at crafting content across multiple brand identities.
· Aware of social media trends and algorithm updates.
· Proficient in building online communities.
· Skilled in analyzing social analytics and reporting on actionable insights.
· Genuinely enthusiastic about hospitality and food.
· Talented in social media photography/videography.
· Experienced collaborating with local influencers.
· Experienced in effectively managing campaigns, projects, platforms, and events.
· A motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment but can work independently.
· Self-motivated, capable of thriving in fast-paced collaborative environments.
· Organized and detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
· Available to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to manage and respond to guest messages and be onsite for special events and to capture in-restaurant experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop monthly content calendars for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in Hootsuite to align with brand messaging objectives and brand aesthetics across all restaurants, at minimum 5 times a week per brand.
- Collaborate effectively with the Marketing Manager to execute strategic direction for each restaurant.
- Collaborate with Branding & Design (outsourced) to build content as needed for campaigns.
- Collaborate with PR (outsourced) to launch and communicate campaigns.
- Monitor and engage (responding, liking, following) with audiences across all social media channels, adhering to established brand and community guidelines.
- Manage social media influencer program including coordinating, greeting, and reporting on influencer in-restaurant experiences to grow brand
- Maintain and update social media training/identity documents.
- Develop, coordinate, and capture media at the restaurants weekly, especially for special events or upon request of restaurant management.
- Maintain hospitality standards by promptly addressing any guest messages or comments, and escalating issues to the appropriate restaurant manager as necessary.
- Stay abreast of social media marketing trends, explore new channels, conduct analysis and share insights with the team.
- Check and maintain online websites and directories, such as business profiles on third party sites (Google, Yelp, Resy, TripAdvisor, Toast, DoorDash, GrubHub, Loop Alliance, Choose Chicago, etc.)
Compensation
Salary Range: $ 22 - $27/hr
Typical Schedule
Part-time, ~25-30 hours a week
In-person 2-3 days a week for meetings and to capture content in the restaurants
