Good Samaritan Hospice, an entity of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is seeking a full time Compliance and Quality RN. The Compliance and Quality Coordinator is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for the coordination of compliance to government and corporate regulations and Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE COMPLIANCE & QUALITY RN:
- Works closely with the Concordia Compliance team to develop the Good Samaritan Hospice quality assurance and compliance initiatives (QAPI Plan) and reviews annually.
- Responsible for monitors, audits, and associated data; identifies education associated with improvement of such measures.
- Plans, organizes and directs company activities to provide quality assurance and improvement to ensure excellent patient care in accordance with government and corporate regulations, including audits and mock surveys; identifies and implements corrective action when needed.
- Oversees the monitoring of clinical documentation for completeness and compliance
- Prepares data for and facilitates quarterly compliance and Board meetings.
- Maintains ongoing education and communication among staff as it relates to quality and compliance regulations.
- Assists in Additional Development Requests (ADR) review and the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) process providing education when necessary.
- Participates in required on-call responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS for the COMPLIANCE & QUALITY RN
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Bachelors degree in related field preferred
- Five (5) years nursing experience required
- Two (2) years hospice experience with a strong knowledge of hospice regulatory standards required
- Ability to implement and maintain audits for compliance and quality
- Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel and quality programs specific to hospice
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) that facilitate staff education related to quality outcomes and expectations
