We are a nonprofit HQHVSN clinic, in Naples, Fl, seeking an experienced veterinarian. We perform SN on owned dogs and cats as well as community cats and are also in the process of expanding our organization. SNIP is currently a low cost spay and neuter clinic that has been operating for 3 years. We are in the architectural planning stage of constructing a $2 million dollar, 4,000 square foot medical center on a 3 acre campus in rural Collier County. Additionally, we have a full service mobile clinic that we are hoping to run in the rural areas of Collier County.
The ideal candidate must be trained in HQHVSN, they should be able to perform 25 - 30 SN/day must be licensed in the State of Florida. They should also be experienced in general small animal practice or shelter medicine. A full-time candidate is strongly preferred. Our veterinarians are also asked to do wellness visits offering Basic Veterinary Care. Our focus is on patient care while helping to end animal over population & unnecessary euthanasia in pets. Competitive pay, (negotiable), as well as a relocation stipend.
Responsibilities:
1. Examine animals pre-op to determine their ability to withstand surgery.
2. Perform surgical sterilizations using proper high-quality techniques.
3. Examine animals post-op as necessary to ensure appropriate healing.
4. Inoculate animals and provide recommendations for follow up care.
5. Supervise post-op rechecks and order of medical treatments as necessary to ensure complete surgical recovery.
6. Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients by using low-stress handling techniques
