The O’Neal School Aquatics Club is seeking a part-time Age Group Coach to coach swimmers ages 10-15. This position will work after 5:00pm during the school year and early morning and afternoon practices during the summer, approximately 10-15 hours per week (plus weekends as needed for meets, which are approximately once per month).
All travel expenses and certification costs are reimbursed. Rate of pay is $15-$18 per hour depending on experience.
We are looking for a responsible, dependable, and fun coach who is dedicated to teaching the love of competitive swim to future generations.
Desired qualifications include:

USA Swimming Coach certification required

Strong ability to communicate with kids ages 10-15, parents, and other coaches and staff

Patient, respectful, enthusiastic, and positive

Strong organizational and goal-setting skills

View coaching as a role with the power to shape athletes into upstanding individuals
Responsibilities include:

Developing a coaching plan geared to the success of each athlete

Running practice 5 days per week

Attending swim meets
-
Communicating with parents/guardians

Planning team-building activities
-
Developing an understanding of each athlete’s abilities and appropriately assigning meet events based on skill level

Minimal pool maintenance
The O’Neal Aquatics Club is a growing swim club in it’s 6th year. We are dedicated to the development of competitive athletes at all levels while building strength of character and physical well-being in a positive environment where safety, integrity, self-discipline, and consideration for others are fundamental.
