Overview:
Join our team as a Sous Chef at our upscale dining establishment where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in food production, menu planning, and maintaining high-quality standards.
We are a scratch kitchen specializing in Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Full service cocktail bar and barista bar.
We have expanded our space to include a private Wine cellar for gourmet dinner service and banquet space. We recently added a new pantry specializing in our foods to go and charcuterie. We are looking for talent, speed and BOH management knowledge.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook food items to perfection following recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to assist in menu planning and recipe development.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold kitchen efficiency.
- Oversee inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering supplies.
- Assist in the training and development of kitchen staff.
- Support other kitchen functions to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in fine dining or similar high-volume culinary environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food industry practices, culinary techniques, and food preparation.
- Proficiency in supervising kitchen operations and managing food service production.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team setting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
