Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for Patient Access Lead on our Revenue Cycle team.
Responsibilities:
The Patient Access Lead will be responsible for analyzing and overseeing all Patient Access functions. The Lead will perform QA of all Patient Access functions on a consistent basis. The Lead will utilize reports to analyze registration output and compile recommendations for improvement. The Lead will provide continuous training for quality improvement. The Lead will stay abreast of all State, Federal and Managed Care regulations as they pertain to Patient Access. The Lead will also communicate appropriate changes that need to occur due to these regulations.

Continued Patient Access duties to include, but not limited to, Scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorization, referrals
and financial counseling. -
Oversight of day-to-day activities of the Patient Access dept.

Ensure QA on registrations for all areas of Patient Access.

Maintain and analyze QA statistics and reports to include Accu Reg RCM as needed.

Complete bi-weekly and monthly reports for Corporate Director, PFS.

Provide continuous training and communication to all existing employees.

Review the quality of patient registration documents on a daily basis.

Work closely with fellow managers to ensure all procedures regarding patient accounts are completed in a thorough and timely
manner. -
Impact, influence and motivate the Patient Access team while maintaining integrity and ethics.

Qualifications:
Required
-
2 years Patient Access experience in a hospital/clinic setting required.
Preferred
-
Supervisor experience in Patient Access preferred.

Associates Degree preferred.
