Duties/Responsibilities:
· Install, terminate and test low voltage, Cat 5e and Cat 6 computer network cabling, fiber-optic cabling
· Professionally organize, form, dress and label pre-terminated low voltage cabling
· Install and terminate low voltage and computer network outlets to industry standards
· Install cable and fire-stop material to industry standards
· Design and install network closet and corresponding equipment configurations
Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to install different types of conduits
· Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
· Knowledge of National Electric Code, state and local building codes
· BICSI certification
· Solid understanding of cabling infrastructure and low-voltage cabling requirements, purpose and industry standards
· Familiarity and expertise with common basic telecommunications, computer networking and associated industry tools and equipment
· Detail oriented
· Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and practice standards
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements:
- Up-to-date electrician’s license
- Associate’s degree in electrical technology (preferred)
- Electrical contractor, master electrician or journeyman electrician certification or Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT) apprentice registration
- OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training and Safety
- First-aid certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
