Proposal Specialist - Job Description
Bureau Veritas North America – Power group is seeking a junior level Proposal Specialist to join our fast-growing team in Dallas, Texas. The company provides owner’s representation, preconstruction management and consulting services to the utility-scale renewable-energy markets, including the wind, solar, battery energy storage and transmission sectors.

Compensation:

- $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in communications, public relations, journalism and/or a writing or design-related field
- Two to four years professional experience, preferably in the renewables industry or related field
- Previous experience in proposal writing, design and layout required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and strong sense of design
- Ability to work with multiple department leads to assemble materials and manage entire proposal process from start to delivery
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and manage sensitive information
- Communicates professionally, effectively, and timely (both oral and written)
- Strong problem-solving and project management ability
- Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
- Adept at embracing brand voice and tone
- Self-motivated to complete tasks, with ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
- Strong working knowledge of word processing software
- Proficiency with Associated Press (AP) style guide standards
- Efficient in Microsoft Programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher & Bluebeam PDF Revu (or similar), as well as the Adobe Suite of products: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and InDesign required
Responsibilities:
- Project Proposal Writing/Layout
- Deadline-oriented with ability to follow proposal guidelines and RFP requirements
- Support bid opportunities for new and existing clients
- Provide copy editing, proofreading, copywriting and final revisioning in order to develop, revise and maintain project proposal content and related business materials
- Ability to design and layout proposals using Adobe InDesign
- Maintain proposal templates based on updates and latest company information
- Be able to gather and format information according to existing proposal layouts, work with team to finalize information and send proposals to appropriate source
- Collaborate with proposal preparation, marketing and operations teams to produce complete proposal packages
- Review proposals with team leaders in all stages of preparation and update according to their input
- Review proposal language for clarity, accuracy, grammar and spelling
- Communicate regularly with team to be able to give status updates on all active/inactive proposals
- Participate in team meetings to review proposal priorities and progress
- Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines while maintaining consistency
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams as needed
- Onboarding Employees
- Assist with compiling new employee resumes, generating bios and managing staff and project photography to be used in proposals or other marketing materials
